| A class for the entire family! This class focuses on pet ownership and fundamental dog obedience exercises. Dogs will learn commands to walk on a loose leash, sit, stay, come and down. Interactive teaching methods will help dog and owner understand dog behavior, learn manners, problem solving skills and responsible dog ownership. This class meets on Mondays, April 2 to May 14 from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at Woodrow Park, 3101 Sherwood Avenue. The registration fee is $95, pre-registration is required.

| The City of Modesto will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Freedom Neighborhood Park (2100 Maid Mariane Lane) on Saturday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m.
Freedom Neighborhood Park is the second of three neighborhood parks developed in Village One, which include; the nine-acre Ustach Neighborhood Park, located on Hillglen Avenue at Bear Cub Lane, and the seven-acre Sanders Neighborhood Park, located on the corner of Kodiak Drive and Litt Road, which is under construction and scheduled for completion this fall.
